Peshawar:
Friday, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s office sanctioned 1,247,500 million rupees for the province of disaster management (PDMA) to provide food and non-food assistance to families voluntarily affected by targeted operations against terrorists in certain parts of the Bajaur district.
The 38th meeting of the cabinet, chaired by chief minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, was attended by members of the cabinet, the chief secretary, additional chief secretaries, a member of the revenue council, administrative secretaries and the lawyer general.
Information journalists on the cabinet’s decisions, advisor to the Minister -in -Chief on Information and Public Relations, Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, said that the meeting had approved measures covering help and rehabilitation, public health, law and order, tourism, archeology, forest, reforms and labor communications.
In the security sector, the cabinet has approved the reconstruction of Malak Saad Shaheed’s police lines in Peshawar, the construction of police inn in the Daudzai and West Cantt police stations, and the creation of five new police stations as well as eight police stations in Peshawar as part of a non -ADP program worth 3,625 million. He also awarded land for a new police station in Akbarpura, Nowshera, and declared the newly built sub-post in Swabi as a district prison while moving 165 posts to make it operational, paving the way for the transfer of prisoners from the former dilapidated establishment.
In the health sector, the firm has approved the improved cost of upgrading of RHC OGHIR in Manshra to a category D hospital, approved a fundflow mechanism for outsourced health establishments and sanctioned a subsidy of 10 million rupees for the Rukhsana Mother and Childcare Trust hospital. He also approved 9.5 million rupees for the celebration of community festivals of Kalash and Baha’i, reflecting the province’s commitment to the well-being of minorities.
On tourism and the environment, the firm has approved the creation of what will be the largest park in the country in Nowshera by transferring 560 acres of land to the fauna service. In Tank, 14,718 acres of sterile lands were given to the forest department for afforestation in the first phase and the conservation of fauna in the second.
For urban transport, Reunion approved the purchase of 50 additional buses for the fast bus transit system (BRT) in Peshawar. He also increased the minimum wage for adult workers, unskilled, juveniles and adolescents from RS36,000 to Rs40,000 per month.
The cabinet has also been informed of food security, the officials saying that although wheat prices have increased in recent days, provincial stock levels have remained stable.
