Carlos Rodón’s wife Ashley brought a similar tone that some fans of New York Yankees expressed after a series of three games against the Houston Astros concluded on Thursday.
The Yankees beat the astros on Thursday to take two of the three games in the series, but the striking area sparked the controversy. Many fans and observers argued that the striking area was unevenly called.
“The area is absolutely horrible the whole series… .gesh,” wrote Ashley on X. “Gesh”.

Later, she asked: “What is the evil with this crew.”
Rodón, a triple MLB All-Star, managed to record his 16th victory of the season after the 8-4 Thursday victory. But his wife was not delighted that he had to fight against the controversy of arbitration along the way. He withdrew three strikers in six rounds.

Ashley also raised concerns about how strikers could develop a strategy when they entered the box and questioned the referee’s consistency. “How are you supposed to know what is the area as a striker … .. zero coherence,” she wrote.

Beyond the striking zone, there was another decision of an arbitrator which made the Yankees furious.
Astros star Jose Altuve struck a sweet lining towards the third base, that the third goal of the Yankees, Ryan McMahon, initially seemed on the ground. But McMahon dropped the ball during the transfer. The third basic referee ruled that McMahon had failed to secure the ball and ultimately declared any catch.
In the second match in the series on Wednesday, Yankees manager Aaron Boone, and the Devin Williams emergency launcher were integrated after the referee ruled the throws while the balls they thought they landed in the striking area.

Williams was finally expelled shortly after having shouted to the referee. Boone was also expelled and strongly expressed his dissatisfaction with the marble referee.
Jazz Chisholm also expressed his frustration with regard to the referee after being called on strikes.
The Yankees returned to the Bronx on Friday to open a series of three games against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
