Islamabad:
This weekend, the picturesque mountain resort of Mirperi saw a massive influx of tourists wishing to discover its snowy peaks and its fresh and crisp air.
The roads leading to Murree were obstructed with cars, motorcycles and buses, while families, friends and couples took place towards the popular destination, revealed a report of a private information chain.
The Winter Landscape of Murrier has captured the hearts of visitors, with its icy views, its frozen lakes and its picturesque valleys, which makes it perfect winter escape.
An Islamabad student, visiting friends, exclaimed: “I have been waiting for this trip for weeks!” A businessman from Lahore, visiting his family, shared: “I love to come to Murree; it is so peaceful and serene. The children have fun, and we appreciate fresh time”, while his children played in the park.
Local sellers were also satisfied with the wave of tourists. Rashid, a Merree’s Mall Road trader, said: “It was a great weekend for business. We had many customers and sales were lively.”
Despite strong circulation and congestion, tourists remained in a good mood, looming in the breathtaking views and the living atmosphere. “It’s a bit crowded, but it’s worth it,” said a karachi tourist walking along Mall Road.
To manage intense traffic, the traffic police were deployed along the route, advising motorists to be cautious.
