The Kansas City chiefs were only three games in their first match of the season in 2025 in Brazil when they lost one of the key weapons of Patrick Mahomes.
Large Xavier Worthy was excluded for the rest of the match against Los Angeles loaders with a shoulder injury – and a friendly fire is what brought him out.

Worthy was in the immediate pain on the lawn and could be seen on the touch line of the chiefs suspended his right shoulder and grimacted. The trainers seemed to push against this, some specifying that he was dislocated.

The Chiefs and Worthy hope to both have a quick return for next week’s match – a revenge of the Super Bowl Lix against the Eagles of Philadelphia at the Arrowhead Stadium.

Worthy, the 28th choice in total of the Chiefs in the draft of the NFL 2024 of Texas, collected 59 catches for 638 yards with six affected in 17 games last season.

In the playoffs, the role of Worthy increased, leading the team with 287 yards and 19 receptions during their three games. He also scored three times, including one in 40-22 defeat against Eagles in the Super Bowl.
