Karachi:
In what seems to be a case of honor, a young woman and a man were found killed along the coastal distant from Karachi on Monday. They were killed in an execution style with a single ball at the Point – Point Blank range.
The victims, identified as Sana Muhammad Asif and Sajid Masih – both aged 25 to 30 – were from the same village, Dakkhana Lala Pul Abdullahpur, in the Nausheran Virkan region of the Gujranwala division of Punjab.
According to the SSP South Mahzoor Ali, the bodies were discovered in a deserted area near the Chinese port in the locality of the boats. The victims were shot in the head at close range by unknown attackers, he said. The crime scene gave two 9 mm pistol shells spent, which were provided by the police as proof.
The personal effects recovered from the scene included a mobile phone, a little money and photographs the size of a passport, supposed to be victims. SSP Ali said the victims were probably brought to the site and executed during the night or in the early hours of the morning.
The bodies were transferred to the Jinnah third cycle medical center for post-mortem exams to confirm identity and collect other forensic evidence.
High police and rangers, including DSP Clifton Manshiya Rupita and DSP Darakhshan Imran Jakirani, rushed to the scene after the incident. A crime scene unit was also called to help the collection of evidence.
The police launched a large -scale investigation into the double murder, exploring various reasons, including personal enmity, violence in honor or other possible factors. So far, no arrest has been made and the reason remains uncertain.
