- The AOOSTAR G-FLIP 370 will go out in “Mid-Mars” 2025
- It has an AMD Ryzen 9 hx 370 APU and a 5 -inch 5 -inch spare screen
- No price has been announced, but it should be sold at $ 700 to $ 800
The manufacturer of the Mini PC Aoostar has announced its new G-Flip 370 model which includes the powerful AMD Ryzen SOC 9 HX 370 with 12 cores (24 threads) and a boost clock up to 5.1 GHz. It is presented as the “first mini PC AI370 with removable memory” and seeks to challenge what we generally expect from all-in-one machines. He launched himself in “Mid-Mars”.
Announced in a blog article, the AOOSTAR G-FLIP 370 uses the HX 370 chip, with integrated graphics of RDNA 3.5 with the 890m raft cooked on silicon. The company claims that this new mini PC will be able to play demanding games such as Black Myth: Wukong with a “frequency of images from 70 to 80” while other titles, such as Naraka: Bladepoint and Genuhin Impact should reach the 60FP bar in 1080p.
He claims that the Radeon 890m should be roughly in accordance with what the discreet graphic solution 45W RTX 2060m could do, even until promising a 4K production in less demanding versions like League of Legends (when it is connected to an external monitor). With some calling the raft 890m the “fastest IGPU in the world”, the claims are not entirely unfounded, but other sources have cited the performance closer to a GTX 1070 instead (via TOM equipment). It can hold on against an RTX 3050m, however, the performance is far from being so consistent (via Hubwood).
Indeed, the AOOSTAR G-FLIP 370 has a 5-inch 1080p touch screen with a refresh rate of 60 Hz which is presented as a “secondary screen”. Although advertising suggests using it for system monitoring, it is fully functional as a small monitor that you could use for games or media reading – provided you are very close to it. This is similar to the old PS1 spare screens of the early 2000s as if you were one on a machine (roughly) of the size of a Nintendo Gamecube.
Undoubtedly more interesting than the integrated display of the G-Flip 370 is the claim to be the “first mini PC AI370 with removable memory”. There are two M.2 PCIe 4.0 locations to which you will have access to the storage extension, as well as DDR5 memory modules which can be exchanged. The company was clear to invoke people “tired of LPDDR memory” can “expect”, so the machine will have DDR5 sticks dedicated to the traditional LPDDR5 of many mini PCs in this form factor.
More than just a mini PC with a neat gadget?
The AOOSTAR G-FLIP 370 is an interesting device with a small pleasant imprint and a powerful material below. Although its namesake and its USP can point to the screen, it may not be something that you get a lot of things unless you want to have it in office replacement for a steam game or Asus Rog Ally X. You will not necessarily have a play on a machine like this, but that the practice of having a secondary screen could be useful for a few things, such as information or diagnostics.
At a time when more mini PC hit the market, many supported by Ryzen Ai Hardware, it becomes more difficult to stand out. The G-Flip 370 certainly does it, however, no doubt more for its ports M.2 and RAM DDR5 than a bolted screen. The price will dictate if a machine like this will happen with consumers, and although no PDSF has been provided, certain market estimates position it around the $ 700 to $ 800 mark. This is in accordance with some of the other products in the company, such as the Aoostar GEM12 Pro (MAX configuration) and the Aoostar Aoostar GT37).
