- Toshiba launches Z670R mini-LED TV with Fire TV
- Support for 4K 144Hz and variable refresh rate for gaming
- Available in 55, 65, 75 and 100 inch options, from $1,299 to $3,999
Toshiba has launched a new high-end but not too high-end mini-LED TV called the Z670R. It is available in five sizes: 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches. But even though the specs are decent, the price makes it more expensive than competitors like Hisense and TCL: the 100-inch costs $3,999, compared to around $2,200 to $2,500 for competitors we looked at very carefully.
That means it might be a tough sell, because while Toshiba describes this new TV as offering “a premium viewing and gaming experience,” that’s not really what the brand is known for these days. It’s primarily a budget brand that makes perfectly decent low-cost TVs – and this Fire TV goes up against some very good, even more affordable, Google-powered options.

The Toshiba Z670R is now available on Amazon US, as are some very good TCL and Hisense options that I think you might want to consider first.
The two TVs below are both very impressive – we’ve reviewed them both – and, best of all, they’re much more affordable, especially in the larger sizes. (There’s no doubt the Toshiba will get discounts as well, but it’ll still have to work hard to beat them on value…)
