We made an unveiling of iOS 26 at the start of this week, and the developer’s beta version is already available for very early adopters – and now Techradar readers have made their verdict on the most exciting features of this huge software update.
And there are many to choose: Apple has a lot packed in iOS 26, which will take place on the masses later this year. On the Techradar Whatsapp channel, we asked more than 1,000 PK Press Club readers on the most exciting functionality.

5. Messages upgrades
The messages application in iOS 26 obtains several practical upgrades, because it seems to divert your attention from rival cat applications. You can now add personalized backgrounds to individual cats (very Whatsapp-Esque), organize surveys and see striking indicators, for example. This happened fifth of our reader survey, classified the most exciting functionality of 5.8% of you.
4. CARPLAY refreshment
Carplay is built directly in iOS and extends when you are connected to a compatible dashboard. We have found that 6.9% of you are the most enthusiastic about the Carplay updates arrive with iOS 26, which include refreshing visuals and a more compact look, support for widgets and better call management – including the iPhone call screening function.
3. Better battery management
Everyone wants to get better battery life on their iPhones, and iOS 26 should deliver it. Among the battery -related improvements included in the update, we have an adaptive power supply which applies small optimizations to extend the battery life and an information screen on the more detailed battery. These features are the favorites for 8.9% of our readers.
2. Call Screening
We have just mentioned the screening of Carplay calls, and you can also use calls for calls on your iPhone: with incoming calls for unknown numbers, the telephone application asks these appellants to give a reason to ring. You can then see a transcription of the response to the screen and decide whether or not to take the call, and 10.9% of you classify it as the most exciting functionality.

The huge new liquid glass overhaul is the new most visible feature with iOS 26, and it is the most exciting functionality of the update for almost 49% of our readers. The visual overhaul is strongly based on frosted glass and translucent effects, and it also takes place on the various other Apple software platforms, including MacOS 26.
And there, you have it: almost half of you are the most enthusiastic about the idea of the greatest visual overhaul for iOS in several years.
