The most popular web browsers in the world are also the most hungry research of Surfhark data.
Analyzing Appmagic Download Statistics, Surfshark found that Google Chrome and Apple Safari for 90% of the world’s mobile browser downloads.
However, Chrome aspires 20 different types of data while being used, including contact details, location, navigation history and user content, and is the only browser to collect payment methods, card numbers or bank account details.

Surfshark underlines the reason why certain financial information can be stored by Chrome is because users can oppose to store their bank information for easier transactions.
Microsoft’s Bing took second place for data collection, increasing 12 data types, followed closely by the PI browser in third place with nine data types, with Safari and Firefox collecting eight types and sharing fourth place.
At the other end of the ladder, brave and Tor are the smallest hungry data browsers, with identifiers and use data, and Tor not collecting any data.
With regard to the types of data collected, Pi Browser, Edge and Bing have all collected the most follow -up data, generally sold to third parties to be used for targeted advertising.
Pi Browser collects navigation history, research history, device ID, product interaction and advertising data, while EDGE collects customer support request data, and Bing user identification data collection.
In the United States, Safari takes a share of the mobile browser of 50%, Chrome filling 43%-and the United Kingdom follows a similar trend, with Chrome at 47% and Safari at 43%.
