Do you want an AI function that is really useful in your daily life? Then, Viamim’s Recopot Authorities could be the very thing. When you have come out and, they are a perfectly normal set of high resolution wireless headphones. But they have additional powers: they can automatically record, transcribe and translate meetings and other sound sources, generate summaries of meetings and action lists to do. You can also use them to record and transcribe phone calls.
You don’t necessarily need to wear them to use these features either. You can capture meetings on the Buds memory chip while they are in the case as well as in your ears, as long as you leave the case open and push the red point on it to start recording (which greatly contributes to explaining the name Rechot), and the collection range is promised at 7 meters.
The Recudot is one of the three pairs of buds unveiled by the company this week. There are two other models: the nano +, a more compact model and air, which use ear hooks rather than an intra-ear design. The three are delivered with the features of the AI.
Not just an office experience
The VIAIM RECDOT is marketed as a “smarter and more effective office experience”, but if AI’s features are as good as those that buds could be useful for a much wider group of people. Think that students record conferences; Singers recording vocal harmonies; writers who do interviews.
I am currently in this last category (although I also sing): I use office recording software for telephone interviews and a small wireless micro system for conversations in person, feeding the records in an AI transcription application which is almost as precise and considerably faster than me. The prospect of a single device that I can use for all this – and which I can also use to listen to pop music on the way to work – is very convincing.
