- BreakupDichen Lachman revealed what she knew on Project Cold Harbor before the final of this season
- The Lumon experience was one of the greatest mysteries of season 2
- Lachman says that she was not informed of what was behind the door of her test room for a long time
Breakup The actor Dichen Lachman did not know what the creative team of the show had planned for one of the greatest mysteries of season 2 for a long time.
Project Cold Harbor has dominated fans discussions since his first mention in Breakup Season 2 Episode 1. Indeed, one of the largest puzzles of the Apple TV + show has been speculated since the series returns in mid-January.
Me too, I spent countless hours to find my own ideas on what Cold Harbor was. I have discussed the Lumon experience in many articles in the past nine weeks, starting with my play in season 2 of episode 1 and recently in my summary of season 2 episode 9.
With Breakup The final of season 2, ironically entitled “Cold Harbor”, making its long -awaited debut, we finally know what it is. Complete spoilers immediately follow for season 2 episode 10So now go back if you haven’t watched it yet.
The test room known as Project Cold Harbor is an almost empty space with a baby’s lonely cradle in its center.
This cradle will be instantly recognizable Breakup pure and hard. It is an exact replica of The One Mark and Gemma owned, that we saw in the seventh episode of Gemma focused on season 2.
So what’s doing it here? Well, this is the final test that Gemma must perform – the one who will help Lumon determine whether his starting procedure can be used to create several “inies” within the same person. Gemma was the subject of testing these experiences and, once she has finished this 25th and last, Lumon will have the data required to prove that she can break someone several times.
Lumon will no longer need Gemma’s services, so they plan to kill her once she has finished. All she has to do is – according to Doctor Mauer’s instructions – dismantle the cradle using the screwdriver that gave her.

Unfortunately for Lumon, Mark – Gemma’s husband – comes to his rescue and prevents him from finishing the Cold Harbor project (NB: Read my Breakup End of season 2 explained the play for more details on this subject).
But it is more than enough to hike on my part. When did Lachman learn more about Project Cold Harbor? Curiously, just like Gemma, it was held in the dark for a long time by the creator Dan Erickson and the executive producer Ben Stiller.
“I haven’t read [the script for] Episode ten until we almost filmed it “,” Lachman told me before the last episode of the original Apple TV. “I only discovered a few weeks before [filming began]While I had had [the script for episode] Seven for long enough. So I had a lot of time to let the events of Seven run away.
“I obtained the ten -time script relatively shortly before we started to film it, but I never really plunged with Dan because they [Dan and Ben] Only told me what I needed to know, “added Lachman.” I don’t know why they [Lumon] Put it [Gemma] in this particular situation. Obviously, they are trying to see if the technology of the dryer takes place, but I do not know why Mauer tells him [in episode seven] That it will change the world. I suppose it is like a last drug test, which is this last step [Lumon] must cross. “”

This is not the only information that Erickson and Stiller retained in Lachman. She also told me that she had no idea of the shooting of season 3, and she did not see any of the scripts of next season on which Stiller says that Erickson and his writers are currently working.
Nevertheless, Lachman has her own ideas on the place where she would like Gemma’s story to go to one of the best programs of Apple TV +, the third season not announced.
“It is interesting that she has so many different innies,” sounded Lachman. “I wonder what they look like and what it means for her in the real world. Mark has only [one innie in] Mark S. She has … I mean, I don’t know how many rooms are there. I stopped counting and I focused on other things!
“But, how many different compartments are there in his brain?” Lachman added. “I wonder if they [the writers] will explore this. But, you know, the possibilities with the show are endless. “”
