They landed – Disney’s Star Wars BDX Droids are now traveling to Disney World

  • The adorable BDX Star Wars droids landed in Disney World
  • All the droids will be in Florida until August 30, 2025
  • Disney exchanged components on droids to let them resist the weather conditions better, including higher heat environments

For the faithful of Star Wars and Disney Parks, another happy landing occurred. The just as adorable and impressive BDX droids arrived in Galaxy’s Edge at Disney World Hollywood studios in Orlando, Florida. This means that you may not have to travel until the end of the droids you are looking for.

Disney first launched that BDX droids are developing beyond the appearance in Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland in California in Sxsw 2025 during the “Future of World Construction in Disney” panel. Disney World was then confirmed, alongside Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort, but BDX droids began to appear today, July 16, 2025, in Florida.

Disney confirmed that BDX droids will be in Disney World until August 30, 2025 and will appear seven times a day, from Tuesday to Saturday. You will spot them these days at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Speaking earlier this year in Techradar, Moritz Bächer, deputy laboratory director of the robotics team based in Zurich, also known as the man behind the droids, told us a little about the preparation to bring these robots similar to a duck to more parks, and therefore to various climates.
