- A minecraft filmThe director defended his visuals in the midst of criticisms of ferocious fans
- People reacted negatively to the artistic style of the film in various trailers
- Jared Hess said that testing audiences responded more positively to his appearance
Jared Hess launched a farm of defense of A minecraft filmThe visuals of the suite of fierce fans of his artistic style.
Speaking exclusively to Techradar, Hess admitted that he was always concerned that the lively animated hybrid film covered the risk of having its own “ugly sound moment”.
The incident to which he refers, of course, is the revelation of nightmarish fuel of a sonic of the aspect of the humanoid The Hedgehog in the first trailer of the first film of the Sega mascot. A noisy buttress followed, and after Paramount Pictures saw the meaning and mail frantically to repair what Sonic looked at during his beginnings on the big screen, the Blue Blue fans were much happier with the final product.
After the release of A minecraft filmThe first teaser in September 2024, an equally fierce fans campaign to revise the horrible visuals of the film produced by Warner Bros quickly took ground online.
In fact, some long -standing fans of the best -selling video games have taken on them to repair their artistic style. Many fans’ videos, including those of the X / Twitter user, Alumio and Redditor Justinenotweird, have rebuilt the teaser with the signing pixel art of the franchise.
Unfortunately, calls from Minecraft fans to modify the real aesthetics of the film fell into the ears of a deaf. Now Hess explained why A minecraft filmThe visuals were not revised during the seven months between the first launch of the trailer and one of the new films of 2025 to come on April 4.
“You know, it’s so funny because, since I got on this project, people kept saying:” Hey, we have to avoid a ugly sound moment “”, Hess told me. “It was something we were talking about all the time.
“And then, you know, when the first teaser came out, there were so many things that have been out of context. Teasers tend to be short and explode visually with content that does not have much context.”
People did not stop saying “hey, we must avoid a ugly sound moment”
Jared Hess, a director of Minecraft
“For the record, there were a lot [in the teaser] It was unfinished, “continued Hess.” Many trailers look like a film that has not been fully made. You still have months of work to do, so when these reactions have arrived, we said: “ oh, that [the backlash] is just something we have to navigate. “”
“But, we had such faith in the film that we were doing. We had started to detect it and, depending on the public reactions, we knew that we were on the right track. It is wild to be as a filmmaker that, even when you test the projection, you always have photos of unfinished visual effect, then you ask the public to use their imagination while looking at it.”
“So, it’s incredible to see it once it is finally complete and to see all the PF the hard work that has entered everything and in the life of this world. To be able to share it with people, and see them appreciate it and have fun. It is a dream come true for any filmmaker.”
I will be * ahem * by making more news exclusive of my conversation with Jared Hess in the coming days, so be sure to check with me soon.
