The GPU external speakers (EGPU) are not new, but Rocketstor 8631CW from Highpoint has entered the scene with unusually aggressive terrain.
The company claims that this external GPU configuration offers a direct connection of PCIe Gen5 X16 to a full -size graphics card via a Copprink Copprink owner cable.
In addition to its bandwidth for office class GPUs, this device supports plug-and-play, bone -gnostic and is not based on software or drivers.

This configuration is aimed at workflows where zero stability and configuration environments are compulsory – think of the AI model training, 8K edition or business quality rendering pipelines.
But in a world where laptops are increasingly equipped with powerful integrated GPUs, this speaker is more like a solution for on -board cases.
A creator looking for the best laptop for video publishing or the best laptop for Photoshop will probably find many capable systems that do not need such a configuration, especially when portability, price and simplicity are taken into account.
That said, as GPUs and integrated compact systems improve, the need for such a solution shrinks and the cost increases considerably.
