Plugable has chosen CES 2025 to unveil the launch of its latest docking station packed with powerful capabilities – and it just might be a game-changer.
The 5-Screen Pluggable USB-C Dock (UD-7400PD) can, you guessed it, support up to five monitors.
The company itself has shown off a range of variants here, including the use of up to three 8K monitors alongside two additional 4K displays. Alternatively, users can opt for a single 8K monitor and four 4K monitors or simply a complete set of 4K devices. Either way, this makes an attractive setup for your IT professional or casual user and is a powerful piece of kit capable of raising the bar. at 100 million pixels.

But there’s more to the docking station than just visual appeal: Plugable’s new docking station delivers up to 140W of power via a USB-C port, making it a high-performance piece of equipment for users .
When it comes to display variety, it has two HDMI ports as well as three DisplayLink USB-C ports, meaning users can run up to four displays at an impressive 120Hz.
The HDMI 2.1 port placed on the back can also run a single 8K display at up to 30Hz.
Elsewhere, the UD-7400PD also features a DockTag on-screen display (OSD), which allows users to quickly check dock status or asset details, as well as access a QR code for setup instructions.
It’s this feature that makes it easy-to-use equipment for IT professionals, hot desk staff and managed IT environments, the company claims.
