- The first IOS 26 developer is now before its launch of public beta in July
- One of its upgrades is a new option called “Keep Audio in headphones”
- This should reduce automatic switching problems for wireless headphones
If you are tired of your iPhone which automatically goes to all other Bluetooth devices other than your headphones, iOS 26 has a treat for you – a new option for the audio to remain connected to your wireless headphones.
As macrumors pointed out, the new iOS 26 BETA developer has a new long -awaited option called “Keep Audio in Headphones” in the iPhone settings. The new option will apparently live in the Settings> General> Airplay & Continuity section and is specifically designed to prevent headphones from establishing unwanted connections to nearby devices.
Apple’s description of the functionality indicates “When you use AirPods or other connected headphones, keep the audio in your headphones when other reading devices such as cars and speakers connect to the iPhone.”
It happens to me all the time, whether it is my audio which automatically passes to speakers by car or to my iPad when used by someone else. Obviously, I am not the only one to find this frustrating embarrassment, so Apple fortunately includes this new option in iOS 26, and it is to be hoped that this will happen to the final version of the software in September.
A little old in Bluetooth
Bluetooth is now over 25 years old, so in some respects, it is miraculous that short -term wireless technology works as well as that – but it is also often frustrating.
Without the possibility of prioritizing the order of your favorite Bluetooth devices, it can often look like automatic switching to its own mind. So, this framework, although it is not exactly one of the largest features of iOS 26, is definitely an adjustment of welcome quality of life.
Not that this is the only frustrating problem linked to Bluetooth with which we must attack. As our colleagues that hi fi? Recently noted, its large -scale audio manufacturers have also started to standardize their Bluetooth matching processes.
Of course, these are a lot of problems from the first world, but at least Bluetooth 6.0 is now taking place to bring more refinements to technology now anchored. These include improving filtering and efficiency, which should provide battery life benefits, as well as a functionality called channel dream to help improve the accuracy of the services “ finding my device ” from Apple, Google and Samsung.
