- PowerCord of Twelve South is so simple, with a wall outlet at one end and a USB-C on the other
- It is a single window solution to load small to medium devices
- With the cord, you can effectively abandon power brick because it is integrated
When it comes to loading our devices now, you generally need a wall outlet that enters a socket and a cable. For phones – iPhone or Android – this means, let’s say, at least a 20 watts wall socket, then a USB -C cable to USB -C. It doesn’t need to be like that, especially for those who travel.
Twelve South, known for its excellent accessories that in particular complete Apple devices, has just dropped the “Powercord”. Yes, it’s a product name, not something that comes with the product in the box. It is a USB-C port cable that does not end with a replica of this port but rather a power adapter.
Thus, it eliminates the need for a wall brick, and if you charge a pixel 9, an iPhone 16 pro, a Nintendo switch, an iPad or a galaxy tab, or even a MacBook Air, you simply connect it to operate the load.
It’s pretty great, right? The 30 -watts supply is integrated into the wall candle, and it is available in two lengths – 4 feet or 10 feet. The cable itself is braided and looks fairly robust from shared images and is delivered in a black or white slate of Dune.
The wall cap is also non -removable. In fact, the entire design is an on purpose circle. In this way, you cannot leave part of the equation at home or behind, so when you need to recharge something, everything is there, whenever you need it.
Currently, it is at a price of $ 39.99 for the 4 -foot and $ 49.99 model for the 10 -foot model in both colors. However, it can only be bought with a type A wall candle. This means that it works better in North America, especially in the United States or Canada. It is upon order now on Amazon or from the brand directly here.
Twelvesouth said that a version of the EU and the United Kingdom were on the horizon and would probably fall from mid-June to the end of June. This is excellent news, because for frequent travelers, it is a very good charger, and I like that you cannot leave a game at home.
If it turns out to be a success, Twelve South may need to determine how to put a more important diet so that it can also recharge more powerful power devices.
Even so, as it stands, Powercord can load phones, tablets, a DJI Osmo 3 pocket, headphones, Bluetooth speakers, smart glasses, helmets and countless other devices. The product page notes that it is preferable for small to medium -sized devices, but can count other products such as laptops.
If you are sold and you are in North America or plan a trip, the PowerCord is on order and shipping now directly from twelve to the south and on Amazon here.
