- Oukitel WP61 and doubles a talkie-talkie for areas where mobile signals are not available
- The 6.8 -inch 120 Hz screen is suitable for smoother outdoor visuals
- A 20,000 mAh battery could offer several days of continuous operation
Oukitel introduced WP61 Plus to IFA 2025, a robust smartphone designed for outdoor professionals who need prolonged power and versatile communication tools.
The device has a 6.8 -inch FHD + screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 and a 120 Hz cooling rate.
The large panel is designed for smoother visuals, whether used for navigation applications, video playback or field mapping software.
20,000 mAh battery designed for extended network use
The WP61 Plus works on Android 16.0 and is equipped with 5G connectivity in full band for large network compatibility.
Its dimensions are at 179.5 x 84.7 x 27.2 mm, a size which reflects the need to adapt to its oversized battery of 20,000 mAh and additional equipment.
The device is finished in black, adhering to the robust aesthetics typical of the smartphone which hieres sustainability and practicality in relation to the visual attraction.
The device supply is a MTK Dimensity 7025 processor, supported by 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage or 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB of storage.
The camera equipment is unusual for robust smartphones, with a main 108 Mp sensor supported by an 8MP night target and a 2MP macro option.
At the front, the punch hole houses a 32 MP sensor, a more typical specification of traditional commercial smartphones than robust models.
The most distinctive feature is perhaps the 20,000 mAh battery, assessed for a 45 W load, with estimates suggest that with moderate use, such a capacity could offer several days of operation without recharge.
Its size also allows WP61 more to operate as a portable food bank, capable of invoicing on demand devices on demand such as smart watches or fitness strips.
This double function potential makes it practical for working situations on the field extended or camping where access to conventional charge is limited, although the company has not mentioned inverted load function.
For communication, the Oukitel WP61 plus including a “Walkie-Talkie (DMR 2W)” functionality, offering a direct contact method in distant areas where network signals are low or unavailable.
The inclusion of a headquarters also suggests that Oukitel intends that the phone works in moored configurations, perhaps for fleet or warehouse operations.
Additional functions include a campsite light, a speaker, a fingerprint sensor, an NFC and a gyroscope.
The Oukitel WP61 Plus will officially arrive on the market in November or December 2025, but if it will succeed will depend on the way in which its oversized specifications reliably work in real conditions where sustainability, longevity and coherent performance are more important than gross numbers.
