IFI has announced a new super portable Bluetooth DAC, the IFI Go Blu Air. It is extremely small even according to the usual standards of the IFI: if the laptops of the company become much smaller, they will be able to sell them to the ants.
The Go Blu air can be small – it only measures 5 cm – but its specification is not. It packs the audio system into three stages of IFI and both 3.5 mm and balanced headsets of 4.4 mm headsets, with the IFI anti-crosstal system on the 3.5 mm output. And it emits a 256 MW of very respectable power, to connect to a range of the best wired headphones and the best wired headphones.
There is also an integrated microphone for your calls and the digital assistant of your phone, and for wireless connectivity to your phone or another device, there is an adaptive LDAC and Aptx as well as ordinary Bluetooth.
IFI Go Blu Air: Key characteristics and price
IFI likes to keep Bluetooth treatment and separate audio treatment to provide the best possible sound, and to achieve this, the Bluetooth Qualcomm QCC5144 chipset manages Bluetooth reception and nothing else.
Audio data is processed by a DAC MasterHifi Logic Masterhifi High resolution, which in turn passes the signal on a double mono amplifier.
According to IFI, the AMP circuits present “discreet and high quality components to maximize sound purity – multilayer C0G and Murata multilayer capacitors, to personalized OV serial operational amplifiers with ultra -basic distortion (0.0001%).”
In addition to the DAC, IFI added its own XBASS and XSPACE analog systems and gave them hardware commands so that you don’t have to reach your phone. There is also a combined volume control and navigation control for the same reason.
Only 30 g of weight, it is a real full DAC, and in a nice touch, it comes with a magnetic clip that you can use to fix it to your jacket, bag or belt. And according to IFI, you can expect at 10 decent hours between the loads.
