Thousands of people in Karachi and other major cities and cities of the Sindh have come out on the roads to denounce the Israeli attack on the assistance ships heading towards Gaza.
On the appeal of Jamaat-E-Islami, Pakistan Ameer Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, a national protest day was observed on Friday against the Israeli attack on the Flatilla Global Sumud. Similar rallies have taken place in almost all the big cities of the Sindh.
In this context, more than 100 demonstrations and gatherings took place in various districts and cities of Karachi, in which people from all walks of life – especially young people – have participated in a large number and expressed their deep solidarity with the Palestinian people. Ji organized rallies in each big city in the Sindh.
Ji Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar said: “The aim of collecting millions of people during the Gaza solidarity march is to send a clear message to the world that we are holding with the oppressed Palestinians.”
The head of the JI expressed these opinions while speaking to the media representatives during the inauguration of a camp installed in Fresco Chowk, Burns Road, as part of the March which will be held on October 5 on Shahrah-E-Faisal.
Act of terrorism
Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Karachi Division organized a large demonstration outside Markzz-e-Ahle Sunnat, Masjid Siddiq-E-Akbar in Nagan Chowrangi, condemning the Israeli assault on Flotilla Global Sumud. A significant number of researchers, activists and citizens have participated, holding signs and banners denouncing Israeli brutality.
Speakers, including the president of Pakistan Aswj Allama Aurangzeb Farooqi and the chief of Karachi, Maulana Rab Nawaz Hanfi, declared the attack an act of terrorism and a war against humanity. They criticized the global powers and human rights organizations for their silence, calling it a reflection of standard doubles.
The demonstrators urged Muslim leaders to wake up from their sleep and adopt a united strategy to defend the oppressed in Gaza. The rally echoes strong calls for justice and required immediate international action against the assault and support of Israel to Palestinian rights.
Israel is exposed
The Karachi Central Muslim League organized a demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club against the Israeli attack on Flatilla Global Sumud. The demonstrators agitated Palestinian flags and sang slogans in support of Palestine and against Israel. They said that the attack on sending aid exposed the true and ugly face of Israel.
Sunters, including the president of the Sindh, Faisal Nadeem and the president of Karachi, Nadeem Awan, condemned the history of the violence of Israel against the Palestinians and rejected the solution to two states, claiming that Palestine is a single sovereign state.
The flotilla mission, she said, have managed to exhibit Israel’s oppressive tactics in the world. The demonstrators said that the plan of the great Israel was a threat to world peace and a conspiracy to dominate Muslim nations.
Crime against humanity
Pakistan Sunni Tehreek firmly condemned the Israeli assault on Flotilla Global Sumud and the arrest of its humanitarian volunteers as a crime against humanity. President Engr. Sarwat Ejaz Qadri praised the courage of more than 500 participants from 44 countries that risked their lives to provide assistance to Gaza, qualifying the attack of crime against humanity.
The central president of Sahibzada Allama Bilal Abbas Qadri denounced Trump’s peace plan as a violation of Palestinian rights and urged world institutions – including the UN, OIC and human rights organizations – to take immediate measures against Israel.
He stressed that the international community was to stand with the oppressed people of Gaza. The movement said that millions of conscientious individuals in the world protest against Israeli brutality and have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Palestine’s struggle for justice and freedom.
MWMP rejects the Trump plan
Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan the president of Karachi, Allama Sadiq Jaffri, firmly rejected the Trump peace plan, calling him as betrayal of Palestinian rights and a threat to Gaza’s sovereignty.
Speaking during a demonstration outside Masjid Haider-E-Karar in the city of Orangi, he stressed that Pakistan belongs to Quaid-Ezam, not Trump.
The demonstrators condemned the plan as a strategic attempt to isolate Gaza politically, economically and socially, violating international laws and human rights.
The leaders also denounced the Israeli attack on Flotilla Global Sumud and the arrest of more than 150 humanitarian workers, including Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. They described the assault a blatant violation of humanitarian standards and demanded the immediate release of all detainees.
Protests in the sindh
Friday, the Lower Sindh witnessed generalized demonstrations in the district and Tehsil district, condemning the Israeli aggression and demanding the liberation of world members of the Sumud flotilla, including the former Pakistani senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan. The demonstrators expressed their solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza and denounced the blockade of Israel of humanitarian aid.
In Sujawal, rallies led by religious groups such as the Sunni Rabita and Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam council have attracted large crowds. The demonstrators chanted anti-Israeli slogans and burned the effigies of Israeli leaders. Similar demonstrations have taken place in Sanghar, Badin, Tando Adam, Matli, Sakrand and Jhudo, organized by Jamaat-E-Islami, Pakistan Central Muslim League and student organizations.
The speakers condemned Israel as a terrorist state and accused him of raping international laws by holding humanitarian workers and attacking peaceful convoys. The demonstrators rejected any peace plan to the exclusion of Hamas and called for the recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state.
The manifestations burst into the solidarity of KP with the Palestinians
On the call of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam Pakistan (JUI-F) and Jamaat-E-Islami (JI), protest gatherings were staged through Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Friday to express their solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. Demonstrations have taken place in all districts in the province, in accordance with the campaign demonstrations announced by the two parties.
According to reports, large rallies have taken place in Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Haripur, Abbottabad, Manshra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, Palas, Malakand, Swat, Lower and Upper Dir, Chitral, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Kuh, and Lakki Marwat, Tank, Bannu, Dera Kangu merged tribal districts.
The rallies, organized under the banner of Jui-F and JI, were led by provincial and district chiefs, legislators and eminent researchers. During their speeches, the leaders condemned the Israeli attack on the humanitarian flotilla and expressed their concern concerning the arrest of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and other political personalities. They urged Muslim leaders around the world to play an active role in stopping Israeli attack.
The speakers also demanded that Pakistan embassies use their diplomatic influence to guarantee the release of Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan. They stressed that Israeli forces continue to commit brutalities in Palestine and Gaza, trying to suppress the voices of the oppressed by violence.
However, they added, the Palestinian people remain firm and continue their struggle for the liberation of al-Quds despite immense sacrifices.
The management of Jui-F pointed out that their party has always raised their voice for Palestine, inside and outside the Parliament, and will continue to extend all possible support.
Rejecting the so-called “Middle East Peace Plan” of Trump, they warned that any deviation from the Pakistani government of the principles established by Quaid-Ezam Muhammad Ali Jinnah would be confronted with a strong resistance of JUI-F.
They concluded by saying that a solution just to the question of Palestine must reflect the will of its people, rather than being imposed by foreign formulas.
