- Factical units of three iPhone 17 models appeared
- A practical video shows the new designs
- We also predicted thicknesses for each of the handsets
If Apple sticks to its usual schedule this year, then we are only six months old from the launch of the Apple iPhone 17, and a new practical video leak shows dummy units for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 air and iPhone 17 Pro.
Published by Idevicehelp (via @majinbuofficial), the video gives us a good overview of the conceptions of the three combined. These dummy units have apparently been created on the basis of “internal documents” covering the conceptions and dimensions of phones.
We can see the rather dramatic overhaul that the iPhone 17 Pro would get this year, with a full camera bar on the top of the rear case. It is a updated look that we have now seen in several leaks.
The iPhone 17 Air – Apparently replacing the iPhone 16 Plus this year – obtains a camera bump similar to the rear, but it will be smaller. The iPhone 17, on the other hand, sticks to a more traditional design which is not too far from the iPhone 16.
Different dimensions
To watch
This disclosed practical video does not reveal too much about phones in addition to the conceptions, but the thicknesses are indicated as 0.3 inches (0.72 mm) for the iPhone 17, 0.22 inch (5.59 mm) for iPhone 17 and 0.34 inch (8.64 mm) air for the iPhone 17 Pro.
This would make the iPhone 17 on the same thickness as the iPhone 16, and the iPhone 17 Pro a little thicker than the iPhone 16 Pro – perhaps to hold in a larger battery (or at least that’s what we hope.
There are speculation in the video that the air of the iPhone 17 will be too thin to adapt to the magsafe magnets – although the wireless load is always supported. The most recently launched iPhone, the iPhone 16th, does not support Magsafe.
There is no doubt that there will be many more leaks and rumors by September, when these phones should make their debut. They will be joined by the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which will essentially be a larger iPhone 17 pro.
