Quetta:
A fatal attack targeted a passenger trainer traveling from Karachi to Quetta near Niemurgh Cross in the Kalat district, Balutchistan, making at least three dead passengers and seven injured, according to local police sources.
Confirming the incident, the government spokesman for Balutchistan, Shahid Rind, said that the injured had been transferred to the district headquarters (DHQ) to Kalat. He also confirmed that the security forces had reached the scene shortly after receiving attacks from the attack and guaranteed the area.
“The injured benefit from medical assistance in DHQ KALAT. The security personnel are present at the place, and surveys are underway,” said Rind in a statement.
The attack occurred when unidentified armed men opened the direct fire on the moving coach. The police and rescue teams responded quickly, transporting victims to the hospital and launching research operations in the surrounding area.
Although the reason behind the assault remains uncertain, the authorities have initiated a complete investigation. The incidents of violence along the Karachi-Conqueta motorway continue to raise concerns about passenger safety, especially in the sensitive districts of Balutchistan.
