Three martyr cops in a Kurram ambush

On Wednesday, three police officers were martyred when alleged terrorists attempted an ambush in the Alizai region in the tribal district of Kurram.

According to police sources, the attackers launched a hand grenade on the vehicle of the police before opening fire, which led to the martyrdom of three cops. The attackers also used a grenade powered by rocket in the deadly ambush. The staff responsible for the application of laws was on the way to Parachinar when he took an ambush.

According to preliminary reports, the attackers also took up arms of the martyrs and fled the scene. The security forces launched a research operation in the area following the ambush to trace and reach the attackers.

Meanwhile, the authorities softened the two-day curfew in Bajaur, allowing the markets to reopen and resume daily life.

After relaxation, residents flocked to local bazaars to buy essential products. Khark Bazaar, Inayat Kallay Bazaar, Siddiqabad Bazaar and Nawagai Bazaar were one of the shopping centers that opened their doors. Traffic on the main roads has also returned to normal.

However, in the light of the dominant security situation, the police maintained strict control points on the main highways and all the entry and exit points of the district.
