Tiger Woods is generally the one who obtains applause from the gallery, but he was a part of it this weekend while his daughter Sam played a role by winning a secondary football championship.
Sam Woods and his university team from the Benjamin school are the champions of the state of Florida 2A FHSAA after having defeated the episcopal school of Jacksonville, 1-0, at Stade Spec Martin on Saturday.
It was the very first women’s football title at the Benjamin school.

The Palm Beach Post showed the moment when Woods was seen sharing a warm embrace with her daughter, congratulating her after the victory. And of course, he was noisy with the rest of the families in the stands watching the match for the title.
Sam Woods plays on the defensive side of the Buccaneers team, and she played a vital role to keep the episcopal school out of the dashboard.
“La Défense really led the team all year round,” said Benjamin school coach Hillary Carney, at Palm Beach Post. “It was a question of keeping the door closed and not to let them mark and of knowing that we would have one, perhaps two. So, it was really the faithful defense opening the way with Emily [Simon] Being in goal and Sam being this elderly person in the back, adjusting everything. “”
The only goal of the match was scored by the recruit Emma Bartoli.

It was the perfect end for a senior season for Woods, whose team did not win only four regular season games before an absolute radiator in the playoffs to reach the championship match.
She will attend the University of Stanford, the school that her father played two years before becoming a full -time PGA tour in the fall.
Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son and Sam’s younger brother, also plays at the Benjamin school in the male golf team, who won the Florida High School Athletic Association’s state championship in 2023 – something that his father had never done in his illustrious career on the course.
Winning is strong in the Woods family, and Sam is the last to do the work with his team.
And a proud father could not hold back his emotions when she achieved her goal.

As for the woods which soon return to the course, its next start to the PGA Tour remains unknown.
