PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan announced on Tuesday that he was leaving the tour, and Tiger Woods seems to be enthusiastic about the future.
Monahan will leave the tour next year, and Brian Rolapp Brian Rolapp, from Top NFL, was announced as CEO of the PGA Tour.
“I am honored to participate in the role of the CEO of the PGA Tour. Golf has one of the deepest stories and several of the most timeless traditions of all sports,” said ROLAPP in an open letter published on social networks. “This story and these traditions have inspired generations of players and fans, creating both a game and a tour that millions in the world love. At the same time, professional golf is evolving, just like the ways that fans consume sport. My goal as CEO is to honor golf traditions but not to be too linked by them.”

Woods posted on X, thanking Monahan for his service on tour and congratulating the new CEO.
“Congratulations to Brian for having become CEO of the PGA Tour. I am delighted to know where the tour heads. And a big thank you to Jay for everything he did for our game and for the players and the fans,” Woods published.
Monahan himself added: “Brian is the perfect choice for the next chapter of the PGA Tour.
“His arrival strengthens our management team and reflects our commitment common to the continuous development of the tower

Monahan will transfer his daily responsibilities to Rolapp and focus more on his position on the PGA Tour Board, as well as the PGA Tour Enterprises Board salesperson, until 2026.
“In recent years, the tour has made significant progress in the fight against these changes – from the creation of more opportunities for players to improve the competitive structure and to improve the experience of fans. But there is still an important job to do and incredible opportunities remains to come.

Monahan’s announcement comes in the midst of continuous negotiations with the public investment fund and Liv golf, which was determined more than two years ago. No agreement has never materialized when Monahan continued to obtain criticism.
