“I had planned to set it up this week, but I’m just not ready,” Woods said in a statement. “I did my best to prepare myself, knowing that this is what my mother wanted, but I always deal with her loss.
“Thank you to all those who holded their hand. I hope to be in Torrey later in the week and appreciate the kindness has continued since the death of my mother.”
According to a White House official, Woods has Golf with President Donald Trump before the commander-in-chief took off for New Orleans to attend the Super Bowl Lix.

Trump sent his condolences to Woods and his family after the Golfer announced the death of his mother.
“I was informed that the wonderful mother of Tiger Woods, Kultida, died – she went to greener fairways!” Trump wrote in a post. “Kultida Woods had an incredible influence on Tiger, and gave him much of her strength and shine. Melania and I send our love and our prayers to Tiger and her incredible family!”
Woods’ Foundation organizes the Genesis Invitational. The event does not have a cut line. If he had participated, it would be his first tournament since he had a microdiscectomy in September to relieve the pain in his legs.

The event should take place in Torrey Pines this season instead of Riviera due to forest fires that tormented the Los Angeles region in January.
