Karachi:
A tiktker sought in a honey trap case was arrested after having pretended to use women from his family as a human shield to resist arrest and attacked an officer of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) with a sharp, injuring weapon.
According to NCCIA officials, a Sukkur team arrived in Karachi to arrest the suspect, identified as Makhdomom Junaid, alias Junaid Jani, as part of a FIR deposited against him. When the Raids team, helped by the city of the city of Mubina, reached his home, the suspect resisted and started broadcast live in a neighboring street.
During the live session, Jani would have encouraged women present to engage in indecent acts and would have asked them to undress as a form of protest. In the middle of the bustle, he would have attacked an FIA officer with a sharp tool, inflicting serious injuries.
The suspect was finally arrested with three women in his house – identified as Fehmida, Ghazala and Kainat. All four were transferred to Sukkur for new legal proceedings. The officials said that the case came from a complaint in which the accused would have attracted a man to befriend a woman named Reshma by phone.
The victim then received reprehensible and tampered videos, after which Jani would have extorted more than RS4 million and demanded one million additional rupees, threatening to make the videos public. A separate case was also registered in the local police station for the attack on a government official during the arrest operation.
