Tiktok removes nearly 25 million videos in Pakistan in early 2025

Tiktok deleted nearly 25 million videos in Pakistan during the first quarter of 2025, according to its application to apply the directives of the T1 2025 community, which covers the activity from January to March.

According to the report, a total of 24,954,128 videos were eliminated in Pakistan for violating the community directives of the platform. The rate of proactive elimination in the country remained exceptionally high at 99.4%, with 95.8% of the bordered videos removed within 24 hours of their assignment.

Globally, Tiktok deleted around 211 million videos during the same period, which represents approximately 0.9% of all contents downloaded on the platform. The proactive withdrawal rate was 99.0%, with 94.3% of the reported content removed within 24 hours of display.

The report also revealed that 30.1% of all deleted videos contained sensitive or mature themes, which makes it the most common reason for the application. Other violations included violations of confidentiality and security guidelines (15.6%), safety and civility standards (11.5%), disinformation (45.5%) and the use of media or content generated by AI (13.8%).

Tiktok said his reports on the quarterly application was part of his continuous commitment to transparency and responsibility.
