James Cameron almost led the Wicked musical years before Jon M. Chu came on board.
In a recent interview, the Avatar The director revealed that he really loves musicals and would love to do one one day.
During the conversation, Cameron confirmed that he almost made it Wicked musical and even had a meeting with Universal Pictures, but for some reason he withdrew from the project.
By speaking to The City with Matthew Belloni podcast, the Titanic The director opened: “The kind of movies I like to watch, say Dune or even Wicked. I almost made Wicked back then.”
He admitted: “I really love the story; I mean, The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorites. [movies]. This was 15 years ago.
