Some in the world of football are concerned about the fact that Tom Brady is both a minority owner of the Raiders of Las Vegas and a commentator from Color Sports Fox during the NFL season.
The future temple of fame explained why he considered these people as “paranoid and suspicious”.
In the weekly Brady newsletter “doing your job”, he wrote on the discussion concerning his two roles.

“I love football. Basically, it’s a game of principle,” he started. “And with all the success he gave me, I think that I have a moral and ethical duty towards sport, that is why the point where my roles in computer science meet is not really a conflict point, despite what paranoid and distrust can believe.
People who believe that the intersection is a conflict of interest indicates the fact that Brady has access to other NFL teams because of its dissemination role. Other owners do not have the type of conversations that Brady and his partner, the advertiser Play-by-Play, Kevin Burkhardt, have on a weekly basis while they are preparing for “America’s Game of the Week”.

This debate was strengthened when week 2 broadcast “Lunday Night Football” on ESPN recovered Brady with a helmet in a raid stand in their match against Los Angeles.
The NFL approached this situation in a statement the next day, saying that Brady is “forbidden to go to a team for production practices or meetings”. However, he is authorized to sit in the coaches stand during the matches, according to the League.
When Brady began to broadcast for Fox, the league set limits for what it could do after having become a minority owner of the raiders. His agreement with Las Vegas was approved by the owners of the League in October 2024.

But the League has softened these limits, a main allocation of Brady in production meetings. During these sessions, the broadcasting team meets the head coaches and the key players of each team playing this week. Brady must do it remotely, but he is always authorized for the session.
Brady, however, is not allowed to be present for training in the installations of these teams during the week.
The seven time Super Bowl champion takes the two roles very seriously, which is why he does not want to compromise one or the other.
“If I can bring my knowledge and experience within the Raiders organization to make sure that there is one more team that does things in the right way, then I can apply it in the stand so that millions of people know and appreciate what the right way looks like, then I will have experienced the expectations that I have for myself, and I will have done if at the service of a much greater duty,” he wrote in his bulletin.

“When you live through uncertain moments and without confidence as we are today, it is very easy to look at the passions and the profession of a person to cross, and to believe that you are looking at a kind of dilemma. Because when you are blinded by distrust, it is difficult to see anything other than personal interest.”
Brady and Burkhardt will be in the stand of the Baltimore Ravens – Kansas City Chiefs match on week 4.
