Tommy Fleetwood had an advance of 54 holes three times this season, but was not able to seal his first PGA Tour victory.
All of this changed Sunday at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta while Fleetwood operated a putt at the 18th green at home to win the Tour championship at 18 under the tournament.
Fleetwood is one of the best golfers in the world, but he had problems all these years to get this last round to go to his sense. But all this drama, all this sorrow, led at this moment when he could let a roar escape after winning the Tour championship – and $ 10 million in the process.

Patrick Cantlay, who played in the last twinning with Fleetwood throughout the day, could not get up and down right next to the 18th green and settled from second place in solo. He and Russell Henley finished the tournament at 15 sous.
Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young and Corey Conners all finished 14 under a tie for fourth.

Fans of Fleetwood and Golf could feel the victory on the doorstep when he went to the 15th tee, but it would be the blow that potentially derailed another Sunday. On Saturday, he had struck his ball in the water which extends over almost 200 meters in front of him.
With Cantlay three strokes behind, another water ball could have been disastrous. But Fleetwood managed to pass the ball safely, and although it was a bogey, it was better than the blowing hole that he could not afford.
From there, Fleetwood crossed a finish of 2 sous for its last round, and the years of waiting were over.

“I love coming to work every day and working as hard as possible to compete with the best players in the world, and I feel like all the aspects of the game here and the players-everything he does is to improve you,” he said after the Tour.
“You are constantly trying to improve myself and I feel very lucky to be able to walk on the range and the tastes of Scottie will be there, and Rory [McIlroy] will be there, other incredible players that you aspire to be.
“They push you to push and make you practice. I feel so proud to have won this tournament this week and I love that I can start again at some point.”
Fleetwood may have been sorrow this season, but the PGA Tour campaign ends with the end of a life for the 34-year-old man.
