The parliamentary secretary for federal education and vocational training, national heritage and culture, Farah Naz Akbar, informed the National Assembly that the government had undertaken several initiatives to fill the skills gap and align the hand -Pakistani work with the requirements of the Middle East labor market.
Responding to a question during the session, she underlined key measures, in particular the creation of Pakistan Skill Company and Pakistan Skill Development Fund to unify technical and vocational education across the country and create better opportunities for employment for Pakistani workers abroad.
She added that the Regulation of the National Professional Qualification Framework (NVQF) had been revised to align the qualifications of Pakistan with the standards of the destination countries, including those of the EU and the CCG.
This step aims to improve the global competitiveness of the Pakistani labor and to stimulate the exports of skilled labor. .
These skills are highly appreciated by employers in the Middle East and are crucial for the success of the workplace. The study program is also updated to reflect the latest industry trends and technologies, guaranteeing that Pakistani workers are equipped with relevant knowledge and skills to meet demands for labor market in the Middle East .
