The same Oregon secondary school which was criticized last year for allowing a transgender athlete to compete against girls continues to explode the competition a year later.
Ada Gallagher, as a 10th year student at McDaniel High School in Portland, finished first place in 200m and 400m in the 6A-1 championship of the interscholastic league in Portland in 2024.
Now a 11th year student, Gallagher was back on the track for an interscholastic league competition from Portland on her home track, where she was seen exploding the competition, especially in the 400m, where she finished more than seven seconds better than the rest of the field.

Gallagher finished at 57.62 in the 400m, with Kinnaly Solhanthong from Franklin High School arriving in second position at 1: 05.72. Gallagher’s teammate, Quinnan Schaefer, was behind Solhanthong at 1: 07.13.
Then, during the 200m race, Gallagher finished first place at 25.76, followed by his teammate Addyson Skyles at 27.31.
The twice for Gallagher were seasonal records.
While the video of the breeds started to circulate on social networks, the commentators began to speak their article.
“This experience must be so demoralizing for these girls,” said an X user. “… You will look back later and you will be much more exasperated, especially if you have your own children.” Another added: “Girls should all start to refuse to run and it will end soon.”

The Oregon School Activities Association, the Director of the Portland Interscholastic League, has a policy of participation in gender identity which “allows students to participate in the sports or activity program of their constantly assertive gender identity while offering a fair and safe environment for all students”.
“As with rule 8.2 concerning the duration of eligibility / obtaining the diploma, rules like this promote harmony and fair competition between member schools by maintaining equality of eligibility and increasing the number of students who will have the opportunity to participate in interscholastic activities”, adds the regulation.
The executive decree of President Donald Trump 14201, better known as “keeping men outside female sports”, was signed to “protect athlete students, in the female category, to have to” compete with or against or have to appear without clothes in front of men “.
When Trump signed order last month, Oregon Republicans were delighted, the head of the house minority, Christine Drazan, saying that she would present a bill to rewrite policies in secondary athletics.

“The women fought for – and won – respect and support for themselves in sports and have made incredible gains by doing so. We must defend this progress and defend equity.” Drazan said in a press release published on National Girls and Women’s In Sports Day, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
