Activists protested Sunday outside the Maine representative, the representative of Maine, Laurel Libby, in opposition to his beliefs on transgender athletes in female and girls sports.
Libby was censored last week by the State House of Representatives for a recent article on social networks stressing that a transgender athlete in high school had won a competition for girls.
The democratic majority of the Maine House, led by President Ryan Fecteau, adopted the resolution of censorship on Tuesday evening during a vote of 75-70. Libby is no longer allowed to speak on the floor of the room or to vote until it apologizes.

According to Maine, eight demonstrators appeared outside the house of Libby with panels reading “Shame on you laurel 4 operating a child 4 Your political gain” and “protect young trans”, according to Maine Wire.
The Mini-Protest one day came after hundreds participated in a rally against the governor of Maine Janet Mills.
Mills Recently faced with President Donald Trump On his decree to keep transgender athletes outside female and girls sports. Several female athletes took the microphone during the march to denounce their democratic governor.
Before walking, an online petition to recall the governor received more than 22,000 signatures. Hundreds appeared at the rally.

Last week, Trump told Mills to the White House that she had to follow her decree or “you will not get any federal funding”.
“We will see you in court,” she replied.
As for Libby, she declared last week to PK Press Club Digital that she would not apologize for the position. She did not immediately respond to a request for comments concerning Sunday’s protest before her home.
