Travis Hunter’s father was arrested in Florida this week for allegedly raped his probation, according to online files.
The father of the winner of the Heisman trophy would be “too far from his surveillance apparatus to be accurately followed” because his fate was unknown in the evening of June 28 for 11 minutes.
He said he was in a bedroom while the device was in the living room. He then declared on July 1, he lost the instructor, USA Today reported. A mandate was issued for his arrest on July 10.

Hunter Sr. was imprisoned in drugs and firearms in September due to an incident in 2023. Hunter SR. is limited to home imprisonment for a year for three years, having served a 90 -day sentence.
He was released from prison approximately a week before Hunter received his Heisman, and a Florida court granted him access to trips to Green Bay for the draft of the NFL in April.
Hunter Sr. was limited to travel only to and from the hotel and the project and was to be back home the day after the first round. He had to submit a travel route to his community control agent.

By winning the Heisman, Hunter was emotional when he talked about his father.
“I mean something to my father. He is not there and could not do it, but I know you watch on television. Dad, I love you. For everything you have made the man … Now look at your eldest son. I did it for you, guy,” he said.
“Whenever you couldn’t see me, or the times you saw my games. Not to see two games in high school to see me on television every weekend and come to see me. It means so much for me. I know you want to be here, and you can’t, but believe me, I have you. I bring you the trophy. I love you.”

Hunter was the second selection of the NFL draft by his hometown of Jacksonville Jaguars, who exchanged the fifth choice to acquire him in motion with the Browns of Cleveland.
