Several New York Yankees have used bats redesigned in the team’s opening series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The new design puts the barrel closer to the hands instead of the more standard placement towards the end of the bat. The brewers closer to Trevor Megill challenged the use of “Torpedo” bats and shared his frustrations after New York scored 20 points on Saturday on the way to an eruption victory against Milwaukee.

Other players from the Brewers clubhouse have at the position of Megill, with the first goal player Rhys Hoskins suggesting that the design left him intrigued.
