While the women of the Democrats Congress planned to bring pink to the joint address of President Donald Trump on Tuesday to protest in support of women’s rights, a republican senator reminds them of what their party voted against Monday.
Representative Teresa Legerández, DN.M., said on Tuesday that dozens of her democratic colleagues will come to Capitol Hill to wear pink for Trump’s speech to “report our protest against Trump’s policies that have a negative impact on women and families”.
“Pink is a color of power and protest,” said Fernández at the exit. “It’s time to strengthen the opposition and come to Trump loud and clear.”

In response to this news, Senator Mike Lee, Rutah, called the party for his protest outfit for women one day after the Democrats in the Senate voted unanimously against the law on the protection of women and girls in sport.
“When you see Democrats carry pink for television cameras tonight, remember that 45 of them voted so that men invade female sports yesterday,” wrote Lee in response to the time article on X. “Everything is an act.”

The bill failed to erase the main procedural obstacle by a vote of 51-45, according to party lines. All democratic senators voted against the procedural motion, with the exception of meaning. Elissa Slotkin, d-mich., And Peter Welch, DV.T., who were absent.
The bill was therefore a filibusted and is presumed to be dead, unless it is reintroduced to a later date.
Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-MASS., Not only voted against the bill, but she also made a mocking “thumb” gesture while she voted no.
