Trump was with the players while he has given prices and medals on the field at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. But at least one Chelsea star was perplexed about the president’s appearance during the celebration.

“I knew he was going to be here, but I did not know that he was going to be on the stand when we raised the trophy, so I was a little confused,” said Cole Palmer de Chelsea after the match.
Palmer scored two goals and helped another in victory. He received the Golden Ball as the best player in the tournament.
Palmer was satisfied with his performance, because Paris Saint-Germain seemed to be the favorites entering the final.
“It’s a great feeling. Even better because, obviously, everyone doubted us before the match,” he said. “The gaffer released a big game ball, and obviously, he knew where the space was going to be.”
