- A YouTuber signed up for Trump Mobile and documented the process
- He struggled for days to make him work
- What he discovered from the plan, in particular his limits, can surprise you
It will take months before the Trump Mobile T1 phone, which is apparently not Made in America arrives in the United States, but the Trump Mobile cell service plan is live today. A courageous youtuber scored and learned a little interesting and, at least one, concerning things.
The good news is that, in the end, the plan, which seems to be a MVNO built on the T-Mobile network, works a lot like any other 5G mobile plan.
For $ 47.45 (a price referring to the two terms of President Trump), Youtuber Stetson Doggett obtained 5G connectivity with downloads and decent downloads and decent downloads, group messages, RCS support and a small “Trump 5” label at the top of the iPhone he added to the plan.
Now for the bad news.
It took Doggett for almost a week to get on the plan. He registered, but the website and the service seemed almost not prepared for him. During its test, Trump Mobile’s website has changed several times. In fact, it almost seems that they rewritten the site according to the problems that Doggett had; The elements were moved, the typing faults appeared, the QR codes failed and long -bizarre instructions arrived for new users.
Even after Fignett obtained the plan plan, the telephone number he tried to transfer via ESIM on the plan has disappeared, and he was issued without his contribution.
Once Doggett operated the system, things happened more easily and he was able to perform several speed tests and send and receive text messages. He had to dig into the settings to allow RCS messaging.
When the data is dry
To watch
Trump Mobile promises 20 GB of high -speed data at a price of $ 47.45 per month, but does not say what is happening after 20 GB. Doggett noted in his test, however, that Trump Mobile does not limit the speeds after the 20 initial GB. Instead, it seems to extinguish the service. After having intentionally burned his 20 GB of allocation, Doggett found that he could not carry out speed tests or access to websites.
This is not the kind of surprise you want. At the very least, Trump Mobile should send a warning message that you are about to lack data or that you have done it, and tell you what to do afterwards. No one wants to lack data in the middle of the month and must then take the phone with Trump Mobile to try to secure more GBS of data.
Speaking of this, Doggett spent a lot of time with the Trump mobile support, which looked useful but not always well informed, for example, of supported features.
Thus, on the one hand, Trump Mobile is a fairly simple mobile service provider that uses one of the large networks to provide the basics of its cellular service. However, on the other hand, it looks a bit like a siege operation of your pants, which includes things on the fly.
If you are desperate to get on the plan, you may want to wait until all the folds are developed or at least until they get the T1 phone built (somewhere) and shipping here in the United States for the Complete Trump Mobile Experience.
