The control increased on the admissibility to the renowned temple of the Baseball of Pete Rose once the former Star of Cincinnati Reds died last year, while President Donald Trump weighed with his own reflections on the issue.
The MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has removed Rose and several other players from the ineligible list in May, allowing the possibility that these athletes are voted at the renowned temple. He admitted during a meeting of press conference owners on Wednesday that Trump’s support in Rose was one of the many factors that made the decision.

“The president was one of the many voices that was the idea that it was the right decision,” said Manfred. “Obviously, I have respect for the office and the advice he gave, I paid attention, but I had many other people who also weighed on the subject.”
Trump wrote on Truth Social in March that he planned to forgive Rose. He and Manfred met in April concerning the candidacy for the Rose’s Fame.
“The Major League Baseball did not have the courage or decency to set fire, Grand Pete Rose, also known as” Charlie Hustle “, in the temple of renown of baseball. Now, he died, will never feel the thrill of being selected, even if he was a much better player than most of those who did it, and can only be named posthumous.
“Anyway, in the coming weeks, I will sign a complete forgiveness of Pete Rose, who should not have played on baseball, but only bet on the victory of his team.
