The world of sport was struck by a stunning late Friday evening when George Foreman’s family announced that he died earlier in the day at the age of 76.
Fanatic of sport himself, President Donald Trump remembered the legendary boxer in a social post of truth early Saturday morning.
“George Foreman is dead. What a big fighter !!!” Trump wrote. “He had, without a doubt, the heaviest and the biggest punch in boxing history. With the exception of [Muhammad] Ali, when you were struck, you went down. He was something really special, but above all, he was a great person, with a personality who was greater than life. I knew him well and we will miss. Warm condolences to his wonderful family !!! “”

Trump’s position occurred a few hours before its expected appearance at the NCAA division I fight championships in Philadelphia.
Foreman became Olympic gold medalist in 1968 when he beat the Jonas čepulis of the Soviet Union in this year Mexico Olympic Games, but was best known for his big tickets against other legendary boxers Muhammed Ali and Joe Frazier.
Foreman won the title of heavy goods vehicles with a second -round amazement of frazier previously undefeated in 1973. He defended his title twice, but then sadly took his first professional defeat in a match against Ali in the emblematic match of 1974 nicknamed “Rumble in The Jungle”. In 1994, at the age of 45, Foreman defeated Michael Moore, a boxer of 19 less than him, to win the title of heavy goods vehicles. Foreman has become the oldest world heavyweight champion in boxing history; He remains the second oldest champion in any weight category.
He then retired for good in 1997 at the age of 48, with a final record of 76 victories, with 68 to come by KO and only 5 defeats.

In his career after the box, Foreman has become a prosperous entrepreneur when he authorized his resemblance to the Salton domestic devices company, Inc., now known as Russell Hobbs Inc., to launch the George Foreman Grill – a portable electric grill which was then a common domestic device, selling more than 100 million units.
