President Donald Trump is ready to help Media the cashmere dispute between India and Pakistan, the US State Department said.
Speaking Tuesday during a press briefing, spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that the president’s efforts were constantly aimed at solving deeply rooted world conflicts.
“President Trump was the only one to bring some people to the table to have conversations that no one thought possible,” she said. “It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he wanted to manage something like that.”

When asked if the American administration could support a resolution of the United Nations Security Council or host leaders of the two countries, Bruce said that she could not speak to the president’s future plans.

“But the world knows its nature,” she said. “It’s an exciting period … and I hope maybe something like it can also be resolved before the president [leaves office]. “”
Bruce also confirmed that the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, met under the secretary of political affairs Allison Hooker during a visit to Washington last week.
“They reiterated American support for the current ceasefire-as you can imagine, thank God-between Pakistan and India,” said the spokesman for the State Department, Bruce. “They also discussed important questions for the bilateral relationship, including cooperation against terrorism.”
The Pakistani delegation went to Washington from May 31 to June 6, meeting more than a dozen American legislators and senior officials from the State Department.
Bilawal Bhutto also presented Pakistan’s opinions on Indian military actions, the increase in regional tensions and concerns about the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty.

The Indian parliamentary delegation was also in Washington during the same period. Deputy Secretary Landau met the group and reaffirmed a strong American support for India in its efforts to fight terrorism and its broader strategic links.
Last month, after a brief military deadlock, the United States announced a ceasefire on May 10. President Trump later wrote on Truth Social: “I will work with you, both to see if, after a” thousand years “, a solution can be obtained in cashmere.”

Pakistan welcomed the offer, while India rejected it, arguing that cashmere is strictly a bilateral affair.
In an interview with AFP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari urged US President Donald Trump to play an active role by bringing India to the negotiation table for complete discussions with Pakistan.
He stressed that if Pakistan remains open to discussions on terrorism, the Kashmir conflict must be at the center of any significant dialogue.
Earlier, President Trump praised Pakistan treatment with recent tensions with India, qualifying his management as “very strong”. Speaking alongside the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Trump pointed out: “Some people will not like it when I say that, but that’s what they are” and has credited its diplomatic efforts to help defuse the crisis.
