“And a very special thank you to the legend of the NFL and at the University of Florida. I mean, one of the greatest players I have ever seen,” said Trump about Tebow. “I’m going to tell you what, as a college player, maybe the best of all time. And you did very well. And you did very well with the pros. It was great. Despite the fact that you were on the jets, you did very well.”
Tebow was drafted 25th in total by the Broncos de Denver in 2010, and in his second season, he found the late Demaryius Thomas on a touch of 88 yards in extension of the NFL qualifiers.
Denver, however, signed Peyton Manning during the offseason, bringing the team to exchange it towards Gang Green. Its role with the jets was strongly debated, the coaches saying that it would be used both in special teams and in a WildCat training. He only lasted a season, during which he had only eight pass attempts and never again touched a field of the NFL.

But, the success of the Tébow is unprecedented.
He won two national championships and lost in a third. He also won the Heisman trophy.
“He’s a great guy. He’s a great guy. He’s a winner. Boy, he was a winner. You won two, right? And you’ve almost won a third. No one did that. I think he’s really with one of the best, maybe the best university football player. If you think about it, we can only base him on the results, no Tim?” Trump continued.

After playing football, Tim Tebow joined the New York Mets Minor League system in 2016. He played in minors until 2019 and played in spring training in 2020 before the pandemic canceled the minor league season. He hung up the metal spikes in 2021 before signing with the jaguars as a tight end, joining Urban Meyer, but he did not make the team.
