President Donald Trump again targeted Washington commanders for the famous change of name of the franchise, this time during a White House event.
During a ceremony for the signing of an executive decree to restore the presidential physical condition test, Trump asked his recent requests for the franchise to change its name to the Redskins.
“I don’t even know what the name of their last name is,” said Trump. “They are commanders or something? Is this commanders? Commanders, it’s not a good name.”

Trump described the “light” Redskins and suggested that the team “Bring back the name”.
Trump called on the Cleveland Guardians to change their name to the Indians and did it on Thursday in the White House.

Trump recently called on teams to change their name on social networks and even suggested that he could try to block the funding of the new $ 3.7 billion stadium in Washington on the site of the former RFK stadium.
The project is in the design and negotiation phase, with a revision provided for 2026 and an opening provided in 2030. The organization works with the DC Council to finalize the agreement.
