President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that he would be present FIFA Club World Cup final Sunday, as the tournament organized by the United States will end at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Addressing journalists during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the president confirmed his plans to attend the championship.

“I’m going to the match,” said Trump.

His appearance this weekend at East Rutherford does not surprise, because Trump was a constant element during sporting events throughout his first and second term, including more recently in UFC Fighting and Super Bowl Lix in February.
The president also announced in March that he would establish a working group from the White House in anticipation of the Club World Cup and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be mainly organized by American Canada and Mexico will also host several games.
Trump directs the working group, while vice-president JD Vance is vice-president.

In May, Trump announced that Andew Giuliani, the son of the former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, was appointed executive director to manage and supervise daily operations. Carlos Cordeiro, FIFA principal advisor, was also appointed principal advisor to the working group.
