  • The most recent high -level meeting in two countries took place in July.

President Donald Trump could visit China before going to the summit of Economic Cooperation in Asia-Pacific (APEC) between October 30 and November 1, where he could meet the Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the event in South Korea, the Morning post in southern China Reported on Sunday, citing several sources.

The two countries have attempted to negotiate a tariff end of a tariff warfare that has upset the world and supply chains.

The two parties discussed a potential meeting between the regional leaders this year, but they have not yet confirmed a date or place, according to a person familiar with the issue.

Trump sought to impose prices on American importers for almost all foreign goods, which, according to him, will stimulate domestic manufacturing and who, according to criticism, will make many consumer goods more expensive for Americans.

He called for a universal basic rate rate of 10% on goods imported from all countries, with higher rates for imports of the most “problems”, including China: imports from there now have the highest rate of 55%.

Trump established a deadline of August 12 for the United States and China to reach a sustainable rate agreement.

A Trump spokesperson did not respond to a request for comments on the plans reported for a meeting with XI in the fall.

The most recent high -level meeting of the two countries took place on July 11, when the American Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Chinese Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi had what described both as a productive and positive meeting in Malaysia on the way in which commercial negotiations should take place.

Rubio then declared that Trump had been invited in China to meet Xi and said that the two leaders “wanted this to happen.”

On Friday, Chinese Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao, said that China wanted to bring its business ties to the United States to a stable foot and that recent talks in Europe showed that there was no need for a pricing war.
