President Donald Trump called Maine Governor, Janet Mills, to apologize to him for the reluctance of his state to follow his decree to prohibit the trans sports athletes this weekend, and Mills have now responded without apologies.
Mills met journalists in Bangor on Monday, repoussing Trump and insisting for the reluctance of his state to follow his executive decree is rooted in “the rule of law”.
“My problem concerns the rule of law, outright,” said Mills. “It is not a question of transgender sports; it is a question of knowing who makes the laws and who applies the laws. I have read the Constitution. The Constitution says that the President, the CEO, will take care that the laws are faithfully executed. This does not allow him to make laws on a whole fabric by tweet or Instagram post or press communication or executive decree.”
Mills also condemned Trump for his position on abortion and prices, and has never brought to the president once by name.

“We have seen policies that threaten women and girls across the country,” said Mills. “If the current occupant of the White House wants to protect women and girls, he should start by protecting women and adolescent girls who suffer from false layers and died because they cannot obtain basic and vital health care in states across the country.
“Listen, the problem does not concern transgender sports. The people of Maine and across the country are waiting for an economic plan of the current occupant of the White House. And so far, we have seen none. We have seen prices and threats of prices that threaten our economy here in Maine and across the country.”
Trump’s initial demand for Mill apologies came in a social article on Truth on Saturday morning.
“While the state of Maine apologized for the strong, but completely incorrect declaration of their governor, but completely incorrect on men playing in female sports at the conference of the Governor of the White House, we have not heard the governor herself, and she is the one who counts in such cases”, ” Trump said.
“Consequently, we need full-fledged apology from the governor herself, and a statement that she will never make such an illegal challenge to the federal government, before this case can be settled. I am sure she can do it quite easily. Thank you for your attention to this question and, make America again great !!! DJT”
A quarrel between the two began on February 20, when Trump threatened to reduce federal funding to the state so as not to ban the trans athletes of girls and women, at a GOP GOP meeting.
The next day, the Mills’ office responded with a statement threatening legal action against the Trump administration if it retains federal state funding. Then Trump and Mills verbally overwhelmed in a largely published argument at the White House during a bipartite meeting of governors.
“Aren’t you respected that?” Trump Mills asked.

“I comply with state and federal laws,” she replied, before Trump said: “Well, we are federal law.”
“You’d better do it. You better do it because you won’t get any federal funding if you don’t,” he said. “And by the way, your population, even if it is somewhat liberal – even if I did it very well – your population does not want men to play in female sports, so you would be better to comply because otherwise you do not obtain any federal funding.”
“We will see you in court,” replied Mills.
“Well, I will see you in court. I look forward to it. It should be really easy. And take advantage of your life after the governor because I don’t think you will be in elected politics,” said Trump.
The Ministry of Education announced an investigation into title IX against Maine a few hours later.
Since then, multiple protests against Mills have been held outside the state capital, and the Maine’s university system has cooperated with the Trump administration to ensure that no trans transmian athlete in female sports after a temporary funding break.
Last week, the Office of Civil Health and Social Services (OCR) officially announced He found the Maine Ministry of Education, the Association of Managers of Maine and the Greely High School in violation of title IX for its relevance of trans inclusion in the sports of girls.
The acting director of the OCR, Anthony Archeval, made a statement to PK Press Club Digital Warning of the potential consequences for the continuous challenge of the decree.
“What HHS is asking for the Maine Ministry of Education, the Association of Maine Directors (MPA) and Greely High School is simple – protecting the rights of female athletes. Girls deserve sports reserved for girls without male competitors. And if Maine will not arrive at the table to comply voluntarily by law,” said Archeval.
The initial announcement of HHS warned that the State had 10 days to correct its policies through a signed agreement or reference risk to the United States Ministry of Justice for an appropriate action.
The deadline to comply is this Thursday.
