Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump is talking about the Pakistan-Indian war, the “injuries of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are reopened”.
“US President Donald Trump said on several occasions that we had arrested the war. When the American president said we arrested the Pakistani-Indian war, Modi’s injuries are reopened,” he said at the inauguration of Pak Business Express and newly improved passenger facilities at La Hore.
During his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz also paid tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their resilience in the four -day conflict with India, which he described as “short but very dangerous”. He praised the technical superiority of the army, the internal innovations of the Air Force and the use by the army of the missiles of Al Fatah.
“India thought that Pakistan could only count on nuclear deterrence, but the supremacy of conventional war has broken this myth,” he said, reaffirming his commitment to the security of the nation.
He added that our nuclear assets are guarantors of national security, and the enemy does not dare to look at us with a bad eye.
The Prime Minister also noted that Pakistan and China were moving forward on new development paths, with full coordination in progress for the second phase of the CPEC.
He stressed that the bilateral links between the two countries were stronger than ever and continued to serve as a cornerstone for regional growth and cooperation.
He added that efforts were also underway to rebuild and strengthen relations with the United States.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister expressed his pleasure in the visible transformation of the historic station, which he visited after a long interval.
“From a warm welcome to well-high receptionists, renovated CIP salons, waiting rooms for improved passengers and a fully renovated train with modern European-style meals and sleeping berths, the change is really rewarding,” he said.
Losses decrease
The Prime Minister described the substantial drop in losses of electricity distribution companies (DISCO) as a very encouraging development and the first of its kind for decades.
He chaired a meeting of the Energy Cabinet Committee at the PM house, said a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
The Prime Minister said that this financial improvement would considerably facilitate the privatization of these electricity companies. “The reduction of losses marks a turning point for the energy sector, which makes the way of privatization more fluid and more realistic,” he noted.
According to a briefing of the electricity division, total losses of electricity distribution companies have decreased by RS193 billion, with a global improvement of RS242 billion.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the government on Tuesday to implement the decisions made during the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) and stressed the importance of follow -up in time to translate the agreements into tangible results.
This decision came as a high-level delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic led by the vice-president of the cabinet of ministers Edil Baisalov called the Prime Minister of the Federal Capital.
