A senior Democrat in the House of Representatives, Jamie Raskin, joined her name to the legislators looking for responses on President Donald Trump’s recent dinner for the best investors in his same, sending questions directly to Trump.
Raskin, the classification democrat of the Chamber’s Judicial Committee, was a vocal critic of the president and became the last of many of his party to investigate the event, which they called as proof of corruption of the White House. Because Raskin is in the minority party, his requests will probably not lead to new actions from the Congress unless they look at the room or the Senate in the elections of next year.
“I am writing today to demand that you publish the names of all the participants in this dinner and provide information on the source of the money they used each to buy Trump parts $, so that we can prevent emoluments from the illegal foreign government from being pocketed without consent of the congress,” Raskin wrote this week to the president, joining many counter-parties in the information, including Senators Elizabeth Warren, Chris Murphy and Richard.
“We deserve to know who pays access to our president and what measures you have taken to guarantee that the funds you receive are legitimate and legal, rather than the product of foreign states or monarchs or illegal activities,” said Rasking, specifically highlighting the founder of Tron, Justin Sun, a guest who was a major early investor in Trump family operations.
