‘Try to send many pilgrims for hajj’

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that the government was trying to send as many pilgrims as possible for the Hajj, adding that an additional 10,000 Pakistani were authorized to do the private pilgrimage.

“We are trying to allow as many of 179,210 pilgrims to travel for the Hajj,” said the minister speaking to a private television channel. “Of this number, 50% are underway within the framework of the government regime and their arrangements are completed.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs will start the supply of vaccines to hajj pilgrims from Monday (today).
